BigPicture has recently launched two initiatives seeking to widen the world of nature photography: the Emerging Photographer Grant and Women in Wildlife Photography
This program awarded $2500 each to two young photographers, who are developing multimedia pieces with unique science perspectives. With guidance from the BigPicture team and individual mentorship from expert judges, the photographers’ projects will be displayed in future BigPicture exhibitions at the California Academy of Sciences.
